Senior Associate-Accounting

Role Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Associate-Accounting with 2–3 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably from an Accounting or Finance background. The ideal candidate will support both financial operations and contribute to broader operational responsibilities. This role requires someone who is a quick learner, a team player, and capable of working in a fast-paced, evolving environment. The candidate should also possess a foundational understanding of an Operations role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing accounts, processing transactions, performing reconciliations, and tracking activities to ensure seamless operations.
  • Assist in processing accounts receivable and accounts payable information.
  • Develop monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and statements of cash flow.
  • Assist in processing payroll accurately and on schedule.
  • Support the preparation and filing of tax documents and compliance reports.
  • Monitor and manage fund disbursements, reimbursements, and cash flow tracking.
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and reconcile accounts as needed.
  • Assist with trading and client allocations for our SMAs and funds on different exchanges.
  • Collaborate with the fund administrator to ensure accurate and transparent reporting of investor accounts, fostering trust and clarity.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely financial reporting.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
  • Collaborate with Project Controllers to ensure proper accounting for project costs.
  • Control all payables and purchases for various construction projects.
  • Assist with year-end audits and tax processes, ensuring proper oversight and adherence to requirements.
  • Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of the organization’s accounting systems and processes, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Reconcile numerous general ledger balance sheet accounts monthly.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls.
  • Stay updated on relevant accounting standards, payroll regulations, and tax laws.
  • Provide general support to the finance team and contribute to continuous process enhancements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in accounting or finance-related roles.
  • Working knowledge of payroll systems and tax regulations.
  • Familiarity with fund or cash flow management preferred.
  • Exposure or interest in operational functions, with the ability to train under Operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or similar).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively across teams.
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new tools and evolving business needs.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and time management.
