How much is a say in the governance of Amazon worth to an average investor? Maybe because Amazon does not pay dividends, their shares are more like voting rights?
Many blockchain assets are simply voting rights on the underlying platforms but are still worth millions/billions of dollars
One possible explanation is that investors expect the governance token holders to get together and vote to attach additional rights to the tokens in the future
Many platforms with governance tokens are growing rapidly and have become an integral part of blockchain infrastructure
I believe these platforms will experiment with attaching more rights to their tokens. Everyone else will follow suit once a good structure is established
