SQA Engineer

Role Summary:

Plutus21 Capital is seeking an experienced SQA Engineer to ensure the quality of software products by conducting manual and automated tests, tracking bugs, and collaborating with the development team. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1 year of experience in the IT industry, with a focus on software quality assurance. They should be proficient in manual testing, automated testing, and bug tracking.

Responsibilities:

  • Test Planning and Design - Understand platform requirements and create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Execution and Validation - Execute test cases (manual or automated), evaluate product code according to specifications and analyze results.
  • Integration Testing - Verify integrations if they are functioning as expected
  • Performance Testing - Ensure the platform can handle the expected load, particularly during performance spikes or increased user activities
  • Security Assurance - Collaborate with security team, if necessary, for vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
  • Collaboration - Collaborate closely with the development team to identify software defects.
  • Environment Setup - Set up, configure, and maintain test environments, ensuring they mimic real-world scenarios. Manage test data, ensuring its availability, and integrity throughout the testing phase.
  • Regression Testing - Rigorously test resolved defects to ensure they've been adequately addressed. Regularly execute regression tests to ensure new software changes have not adversely affected existing functionalities.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in software quality assurance.
  • Experience with QA tooling and automation tools.
  • Prior experience in financial technology is a plus.
